BlinkenPaint

Everybody could create their own images and animations for Blinkenlights. We provided a program for Windows and Mac OS to easily build Blinkenlights Movies using the mouse.

The last version of Blinkenpaint is 3.11:

During the installation, movies created with Blinkenpaint were submitted by e-mail and shown on the building.

How to use Blinkenpaint

Blinkenpaint is pretty easy to use. When it starts it presents a distant view of the Blinkenlights building. Clicking on the windows switches the light on or off. That way you can create simple pictures.

By adding new images you create a movie. Every image has a certain delay time so that some images display longer and others shorter depending on the desired effect.

Commands in the "Image" menu perform operations on the image like inverting and rotating the content. The menu "Frame" may be used to set the delay time.

Saving the movie to disk creates a Blinkenlights Movie.
