We are happy to announce that the Blinkenlights team (at least four of us: Tim, Fiedel, Dominik and Martin) made it to Toronto and that we have started our setup work. We are joined by our Torontonian team members (Andrew, Dan and Jonathan). This time the Project Blinkenlights is really an international effort.
We have now moved in to our own floor at Toronto City Hall. It's also worth noting our stuff has survived the two week long trip over the Atlantic and safely arrived yesterday. We started unpacking and sorting our material to prepare for the initial rollout that is about to begin this weekend.
The material is spread out over 10 pallets, weighing 4t in total. It's a lot of lamps, cables, stands, cover sheets for the windows and tools. Our new developed electronics so far passed all the tests and we are setting up the controlling computers right now.
Meanwhile we are finishing work on the first release of the Stereoscope Simulator for the iPhone. We have to put some final touches on the 3D model and overall graphics and have to settle on some more little details before we can submit the application to iTunes App Store.
