Arcade is a big project, which would not have been possible without significant logistical and financial support. This place is meant to say thanks to all those who have helped us in preparation of the project.

Nuit Blanche

nuit blanche poster Nuit Blanche is a single event for art and culture in Paris, organized by the City of Paris. It will take place in the night from October 5th to October 6h, 2002 at more than 25 different places all over the town.

Arcade was initiated and financed by Nuit Blanche. The installation starts 11 days before Nuit Blanche and comes to an end in the same night.

Bibliothèque nationale de France

arcade front view The Bibliothèque nationale de France (BnF) or Bibliothèque François Mitterand is the central library of France. The impressive building at Quai François Mauriac Nr. 23 in the 13th Arrondissement consists of four towers, interconnnected by a huge complex underneath housing the public services. The tower T2 houses the library administration and is the place where Arcade gets installed.

The BnF was a strong supporter of the project although this comes with significant restrictions for their daily work during build-up and operation of the installation. Thanks especially to the technical department and the presidency for the uncompromised support of our project.
