Update 2002-08-24

Aug 24, 2002

Arcade Logo ARCADE is the name of the new installation of Project Blinkenlights. Starting September 25th, 2002 lasting until October 6th, we transform the Bibliothèque nationale de France in Paris into world's biggest computer screen ever. With 520 pixels, this new setup is 3,6 times the size of the installation at Alexanderplatz, Berlin. The project features its own home pagereporting on all aspects of the new installation.

Arcade View From Seine Arcade bases on a completely redesigned technology. For the first time we are working with greyscales, lighting the lamps in small steps. This also caused at change in our file format: BLM becomes BML.

We would be happy if you would join our little project and contribute new pictures and animations. The ArcadePaint program is a new version of the original BlinkenPaint program and has been enhanced significantly. As before, it runs on Windows and Mac OS systems.
